Hello,
Hope you’re doing well.
I thought to share you a quick guide of the BBC’s Glastonbury coverage, so you know where to find your favourites this weekend.
BBC iPlayer will feature more than 90 hours’ worth of performances from all of the main stages (that’s Pyramid, Other, West Holts, Woodsies, and The Park).
90 sets will be then available on iPlayer, with Pyramid sets available to watch in Ultra High Definition. You’l have 30 days to watch them.
iPlayer’s The Glastonbury Channel kicks off from 12pm each day with performances as they happen, with The Glastonbury Highlights Channel showing highlights.
It is unclear exactly what sets will be broadcast live and what ones will be on tape, but I imagine the more towards the Headliner, the more likely will be broadcast live.
FRIDAY
The BBC Glastonbury Channel will be showing uninterrupted sets from Alanis Morissette, The 1975, Loyle Carner, Self Esteem and more.
I reckon that Cmat, Rizzle Kicks and Franz Ferdinand will appear too on the feed too, along with the mysterious Pyramid TBA at 4.55pm and Woodsies TBA at 11.45am.
Coverage starts on BBC iPlayer from 12pm.
BBC ONE: From 10.30pm, The 1975
BBC TWO: From 9pm, highlights of Alanis Morissette, Biffy Clyro, Busta Rhymes amd Self Esteem. Then Loyle Carner and Four Tet from midnight.
BBC FOUR: English Teacher and Wet Leg from 7pm, Supergrass and Blossoms from 8pm and Franz Ferdinand and Wunderhorse from 9pm, Loyle Carner from 10.30pm.
SATURDAY
The BBC Glastonbury Channel will be showing uninterrupted sets from RAYE, Scissor Sisters and Charli XCX. I reckon Kaiser Chiefs, Weezer and the mysterious Patchwork. I doubt the BBC will broadcast Kneecap’s set live.
Coverage starts on BBC iPlayer from 12pm.
BBC ONE: Raye from 9.10pm, Charli XCX from 10.30pm
BBC TWO: Jade and Brandi Carlile from 5pm. Ezra Collective from 7pm. Neil Young from 10.10pm.
BBC FOUR: John Fogerty from 7pm, Gary Numan from 8pm, Amyl and the Sniffers from 9pm.
SUNDAY
The BBC Glastonbury Channel will be showing uninterrupted sets from Rod Stewart, Nile Rodgers, Slow Patrol, Wolf Alice and Olivia Rodrigo.
Coverage starts on BBC iPlayer from 12pm.
BBC ONE: Rod Stewart from 7.15pm, Olivia Rodrigo from 10pm
BBC TWO: Nile Rodgers and Chic from 5pm, Wolf Alice from 8.45pm
BBC FOUR: Celeste from 7pm, Cymande from 8pm, Snow Patrol and St Vincent from 9pm, The Prodigy from 9.45pm. That’s right, The Prodigy on BBC Four.
Thanks for reading.
Have a great weekend and thank you for supporting my work.
